About this app

Hi! My name is Parker and Nomo is the #1 sobriety tracker in the GooglePlay Store and AppStore! I'm also in recovery and made Nomo as a tool to keep me on track and motivated. It's a passion project of mine and I hope it helps you as much as it has been helping me! What makes Nomo so great?

• Create as many sobriety clocks as you need

• Add accountability partners so you have their contact info

• Share selected clocks with accountability partners

• Send/Receive notifications when a clock has been reset

• Get a detailed breakdown of your progress down to the minute

• See how much money you've saved by not supporting your habit

• Earn chips when you reach certain milestones in your recovery

• Share your success on Facebook and Twitter

• Submit and read encouragements from the community

• View all of your chips at once to keep you encouraged

• Tap the “check in” button on your shared clocks to show accountability partners that you’re active in your sobriety

• Mini-distraction exercises to help you refocus when you’re feeling tempted

• Prevent someone from accessing your Nomo app with a secure PIN

Nomo is perfect for anyone recovering from alcoholism, sexual or pornography addiction, self-harm, codependency, smoking, tobacco, drug or chemical dependency, anger, depression, or any other kind of hurt, habit, or hangup. We hope it’s a valuable tool for you in your recovery.

Great concept, but the Android app needs some work. The text input fields are very difficult to write in (especially if you have to edit text), and the + & - means of selecting options is not great but any stretch of the imagination. Still, it's a simple app that does a great job of keeping you motivated in your sobriety, and the accountability partner feature is awesome. Understand that this was put together by a part-time developer, in his free time.

The app basically does what I need it to, but there are many things that don't work or work sloppily. First, the Android back button simply exits The app to matter what screen you are on, which messes with my muscle memory. I have to use the in-app home button instead. The "check ins" don't seem to work properly, as it keeps track of the date of the last check in but the "max streak" is always 0. The app seems to run very slowly for what it does. Finally, the icon seems to be a default one.

I installed this app hoping to communicate with a community of like-minded people. By all appearances, I thought this would be for me. The designer had the best of intentions, I truly believe that. However, the app is deeply flawed. In the journal a keyboard doesn't pop up so the journal option isn't functional whatsoever. Next, messages are not accessible. It shows there are waiting messages, then nothing but a white screen so this option is useless. The designer hasn't updated in a year.👎
