I'm really disappointed with the new scheme. A bright yellow splash screen is an assault on the eyes, especially if you're checking the news in bed with the lights out. I'm also not a fan of the massive text size, for tablets(?), without an option to condense the layout. Please consider offering a small layout in settings and perhaps a dark theme. Aside from this I enjoy the app.
Prefer the old colour scheme. PLEASE give us a night mode. Bright white when one first wakes up hurts. Also, the "clean" UI attempt leaves the user more confused about where objects are and their boundaries than before. Still a great app though: 5/5
My "first thing in the morning" app. If I had to be picky, my Nexus 7 Android tablet won't zoom the page or photo using pinch/spread with fingers. Otherwise perfect .
The yellow splash screen is just wrong. The text often changes font size half way through an article and extends off the screen. To use the app more than once I need to force shut the app. It's annoying to use. But it's free and my first news in the morning so I put up with it.
If you can't caption photos then don't use any. Pretty pointless if I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at. I reckon the work experience kid could design a better app than this. Bloody hopeless.
Nice app, though people also have to remember that they have a separate one called iView for kind of everything else. This one seems just for news and so far does a reasonable job for me I think, would be nice to have a download feature so I'm not needing an internet connection. Pity the notifications don't ways work
