Make room for your next idea. Markling is a Markdown editor for Android phones, tablets, and foldables. Open a file, shape your thoughts, and see your writing take form.

WRITE YOUR WAY
Edit Markdown with syntax highlighting, formatting tools, line numbers, find and replace, and Undo/Redo. Select and edit directly in Preview: the Markdown around your selection appears as you work and returns to its rendered style when you move away.

READ WITH CLARITY
Preview headings, lists, tables, task checkboxes, code, and images. Use the outline to jump between sections. Adjust the font, choose a preview style, or switch to focus mode. Light and dark appearances are included.

ROOM TO WORK
Phones and narrow windows keep Edit and View one tap apart. Wide tablet and foldable windows add Split view, an adjustable divider, synchronized scrolling, and a persistent outline. Hardware keyboard shortcuts help you keep writing.

KEEP YOUR OWN FILES
Open documents with Android's system file picker. Browse a folder as a workspace, return to Recent Files, or open Markling from a file manager. Documents save in place when the chosen provider permits writing. Your notes remain ordinary Markdown files, and the app keeps a local recovery copy of unsaved changes when needed.

DIAGRAMS AND MATH
Preview Mermaid diagrams, inline and display LaTeX math, and footnotes using libraries bundled in the app. Remote HTTPS images require a network connection. Local editing and bundled rendering work offline.

SHARE THE RESULT
Export paginated PDF or standalone HTML, or use Android's printing system. Diagrams and math render in HTML and PDF, with readable fallback for invalid source. Image access follows the permissions of your file provider.
