Need an option to be able to turn off the hideous persistent notification dot on notification bar. It is only there to say app is running - not for an actual alerts. Leave the notifications for alerts only. App can run in the background without forcing the 24/7 notification. Battery drain is significant as well - 13% battery usage compared to social media apps for example that are also running in the background but only using 2, 3, and 4%. Won't be able to use this app if it stays like this.

Horrible!! Can we say bugs... it had a permanent "notification" that I couldnt clear on android then kept flashing a popup at the top that wouldn't go away for longer than a half of a second which caused me not to be able to click on anything beneath it. Had to uninstall to move it out of my way. I love getting alerts from my police dept and city but not sure I can handle this app in the current condition. Y'all got a month to work it out.

When I attempt to see and clear notifications, the app crashes completely. I dislike the persistent notification, and I worry about the impact of always allowing location access on data usage (as I use a plan with limited data unless on Wi-Fi). I'll reserve judgment on the improved battery drain, as that was why I previously uninstalled.

Hi Jessica, Thank you for the feedback. We have submitted an update today that removes the persistent notification and replaces it with a small icon in the status bar. This update also addresses the crash issue on a handful of devices. It should be approved by Google and available in the next 24 hours. - Atlas One Team
