Colloquies is a friendship app for close friends, long-distance best friends, couples, and family circles. One meaningful question every week. A weekly ritual.
No feeds. No likes. No algorithm. Just the people who matter, talking about what actually matters.
🛋️ A digital living room
Your circle is small: 2 to 8 people. The friends you already have. The ones you don't want to lose.
🔄 How the weekly ritual works
Every Monday, your circle gets one thoughtful question. You write your answer first, before you see anyone else's. Then the circle opens, and you read each other.
This small mechanic changes everything. Nobody copies. Nobody performs. Everyone is honest.
When the week ends, the chapter closes. A new question arrives. A friendship rhythm, finally.
💬 In between, a Hallway
Your circle also has a Hallway: an always-open space for casual chat between weekly questions. Text, photos, voice notes, video, reactions.
🔒 Private by design
Every message in your circle is end-to-end encrypted. We can't read your conversations. Nobody can. Only your circle.
• End-to-end encryption (RSA-2048 + AES-256-GCM)
• No ads, no trackers, no data sold
• No contact list access
• Offline-first, works without internet, syncs when you're back
• Your data stays in the EU (Frankfurt)
🌿 A friendship app for the people who already matter
Colloquies isn't built to make you new friends. It's built to keep the ones you already have.
• Your university group, scattered across cities
• Your three best friends from high school
• Your long-distance best friend
• Your partner
• Your siblings, your parents, your chosen family
Create a separate circle for each part of your life. Pick a category like Relationships, Life Stories, Fun, or Deep, and set a depth level from light to vulnerable.
🐢 Thoughtfully slow
Colloquies is the opposite of social media. One question a week. Time-limited chapters. No infinite scroll. No notifications begging for your attention. This is an app you open with intention, not out of habit.
Designed in Berlin. Built for the friendships that deserve more than a group chat.
