FileLens is a smart file manager for Android that helps you understand what's in a file before you open or share it.

INSPECT BEFORE YOU OPEN
• Magic-bytes detection catches extension mismatches (that .jpg might actually be an executable).
• Side-by-side preview, metadata, and structure tabs for every common file type.
• Risk badges call out things like GPS in photos, JavaScript in PDFs, tracked changes in DOCX, hidden Excel sheets, and active content in archives.
• Local trust score with the top reasons that influenced it.

DEEP COVERAGE
• Images: EXIF including GPS, camera, dates, with optional cleaning.
• Documents: DOCX, XLSX, PPTX revisions, hidden sheets, macros, external links.
• PDFs: thumbnails, JavaScript, embedded files, encryption status.
• Archives: ZIP, JAR, APK, OOXML, TAR, TAR.GZ, EPUB. Browse contents without extracting.

COMMANDER MODE

• Copy, move, rename, batch rename with patterns ({n}, {name}, {ext}, find/replace, regex).
• Soft-delete to a recoverable .trash directory with Ctrl+Z undo.
• Compare two files (text diff, JSON/XML structural diff, image side-by-side, checksums).
• Compare two folders (left-only, right-only, changed, same-content-different-name) with sync actions.
• Find duplicates by SHA-256 with one-tap "delete old extras".
• Verify a download against a pasted hash (SHA-256 or MD5).

PRIVACY-FIRST
• Strips EXIF, OOXML, PDF metadata for a "share cleaned copy" flow.
• Batch privacy audit on a folder; pack cleaned copies into a sharable ZIP.
• Generate inspection reports as Markdown or JSON.

OFFLINE, ON-DEVICE
• No accounts, no analytics beyond basic crash reporting, no network calls during normal operation.
• Settings, bookmarks, recent files, and frequent folders are backed up to a JSON file you control.
