About this app

DeenUnlock is a Muslim app blocker. It helps you block selected distracting apps and unlock them only after completing a worship action inside DeenUnlock.

The main purpose of DeenUnlock is digital discipline for Muslims: turn the moment you try to open a distracting app into a short Quran, dhikr, dua, salah, or Islamic learning action.

How DeenUnlock blocks apps:

1. Select the apps you want to protect.
2. Turn on the DeenUnlock Android Accessibility service.
3. When you open a protected app, DeenUnlock detects that selected app and brings you back to DeenUnlock.
4. Complete a worship action such as reading Quran, making dhikr, opening a dua, tracking salah, or reading a short Islamic lesson.
5. DeenUnlock gives a temporary unlock window so you can open the protected app.

Accessibility permission:

DeenUnlock uses Android Accessibility only for the app-blocking feature. The service checks when you open an app that you selected for protection and redirects you back to DeenUnlock so you can complete worship before receiving temporary access.

DeenUnlock does not use Accessibility to read private screen content, messages, passwords, typed text, browser history, or financial information. It does not control unrelated apps. Your selected protected app list is used only for the blocking feature.

Location permission:

DeenUnlock uses location only to calculate local prayer times and Qibla direction. You can use many worship features without location access.

Notifications:

Notifications are optional and are used for prayer reminders and worship reminders.

Subscriptions:

DeenUnlock may offer optional premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions. The core purpose remains the same: help Muslims reduce distracting app use and reconnect daily app access with worship.
