Quiet Sky is a beautiful, private local weather app for Android with minute-by-minute rain forecasts, live weather radar, sunset forecasts, air quality forecasts, and the forecast details that matter. No ads, no Quiet Sky account, no tracking. Ever.

Real privacy you can watch

Every weather, map, and radar request routes through the Quiet Sky privacy proxy. Weather providers may receive the coordinates needed to return a local weather forecast, but they do not receive your IP address, device ID, or identity. They get the location needed for the weather without knowing who asked.

Open the Privacy Dashboard and audit every request in plain language, as it happens. Proof, not promises.

The privacy core behind Quiet Sky is open source under the Apache 2.0 license, so the protection can be inspected. The full commercial app is not presented as open source, and private provider integrations, credentials, and keys remain private.

Rain to the minute

Minute-by-minute rain forecasts with a live precipitation countdown. Know when rain is expected to start, how long it may last, and when it is likely to ease. Leave now, or wait it out.

Sunset forecasts

Know which sunsets are worth it. From three hours out, Quiet Sky reads the clouds and the air and gives you a sunset forecast for whether the golden hour tonight is worth stepping outside for.

Hourly and 10-day weather forecasts

Clean hourly weather forecasts and a 10-day forecast, with a gradient temperature range bar so the whole week reads at a glance.

Ratings and reviews

I asked the developer to add a lifetime subscription, I hate subscriptions & it was added the next day, so I jumped on it. Love the min. by min. rain forecast. Notifications are spot on. There are 25 widgets to choose from. Lastly the satellite perception on radar shows a future forecast +240 minutes. So far Quiet Sky has exceeded my expectations and believe it will be highly rated amongst the best.

Replaced Weather Underground and Dark Sky Tech with this one and haven't looked back. The UI is clearly better than both. Clean, smooth, and easy to read without feeling cluttered. The minute-by-minute rain timing, radar, and overall layout just work better for daily use. Privacy is a big plus too. No ads, no account, and it actually protects your data instead of treating it as the product. Solid app. Does the job better than the ones I deleted.

Really like the clean interface and the fact that it's privacy-conscious with location access. One thing I'd love to see in a future update: an "Allow all the time" location option. Right now it's foreground-only, which means the weather data can go stale if the app isn't opened often. Background location access would let it stay accurate without needing to manually reopen it. Otherwise, solid app — would be 5 stars with this added.
