I cannot get past screen prompting me to open an account. l am not interested in that feature. Really was hoping for a paid version in order to avoid the account thing, of course developers need to be paid somehow. update: I went ahead and did the account anyway, but soon uninstalled the app as it was sending constant notifications of auroras being viewed alaska, even though I set my location for Southeast michigan.

Requires account creation for aurora prediction...? I am aware that they want accounts for the social part of the app, but this can clearly be regulated by disabling the liking, saving, posting features behind a log in. I wouldn't recommend anyone sign up with their email or unique password

Toolwise is exceptional, the best app and the one that I used to see and have amazing pictures of the aurora 3 times in the last 10 days. BUT while I was using it, a key function in my opinion (moments) went from available to requiring a registeration. I understand that you need people to be registered in order to post pictures for security reasons and control, but to watch others' pictures? I feel it's unnecessary.
