HealFrame is a self-guided trauma recovery app built on Judith Herman's three-stage model — the same framework used by clinicians worldwide since 1992. Each step is grounded in peer-reviewed research, and every interaction is designed with your safety in mind.

THREE STAGES OF RECOVERY

Stage 1 — Stabilize
Start by settling your nervous system. The 4-7-8 breathing technique activates your vagus nerve, shifting your body out of hyperarousal. The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise — naming what you see, touch, hear, smell, and taste — pulls you out of flashbacks and into the present moment. AI-personalized guidance adapts to how you're feeling right now.

Stage 2 — Transform
When you're ready, share a meaningful photo. Imagery Rescripting (ImRS), a technique validated for PTSD treatment (Lancet Psychiatry 2021: 78% symptom reduction), helps you reshape the memory and give it new meaning — without erasing what happened. An AI-generated recovery analysis offers a new perspective on your experience.

Stage 3 — Reconnect
Organize what you've been through and build concrete, small steps you can carry into daily life. Recovery notes, action guides, and affirmations help you move forward at your own pace.

RECOVERY CIRCLE — PEER SUPPORT

You don't have to walk this path alone. Join a small group of 5-8 peers at the same recovery stage for weekly structured check-ins. Based on Yalom's therapeutic factors and the Group Peer Support (GPS) model, Recovery Circle includes:
