About this app

KidsConnect is the companion app to Kids Protect+, installed on the child's phone or tablet for supervised digital protection by a parent or guardian.

IMPORTANT
• This app is set up by parents or guardians using Kids Protect+.

• An active Kids Protect+ plan and code pairing are required.

• It does not replace the parent app — the two work together.

HOW IT WORKS
1. The parent or guardian installs Kids Protect+ and creates the family.

2. Generates a pairing code in the parent app.

3. Installs KidsConnect on the child's device and enters the code.

4. Completes the security permissions indicated in the setup.

5. Monitors everything through Kids Protect+ (apps, screen time, location, and alerts).

WHAT KIDSCONNECT DOES ON THE CHILD'S DEVICE

• Syncs installed apps and usage time with the parent's app
• Shares location with the authorized parent (after permission)
• Applies blocks and limits defined in Kids Protect+ (with support from the Android Accessibility Service)
• Keeps protections active in the background, with visible notification
• Helps prevent unauthorized uninstallation of protections

USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

KidsConnect uses the Android Accessibility API as its main parental control functionality — detecting the app in the foreground to apply blocks and limits defined by the parent and protecting against unauthorized uninstallation. The service is activated by the parent during setup, with explicit consent in the app. Usage information is visible only to the paired family in Kids Protect+ and is not used for advertising.
