Lithie is a battery health monitor with a charge limit. It measures your battery capacity in mAh from your own charges, stops charging at the level you set, and shows which apps keep your phone awake. Every figure says where it came from: reported by the phone, calculated from your charges, or estimated.
Battery health, measured from your charges
• Battery health in mAh and as a share of design capacity, measured from real charges, partial ones included. An 80% charge limit does not get in the way.
• Two opinions: Lithie's figure next to the one your phone keeps, with a note on what a gap means.
• Charge cycle count, design capacity and first use date, where the phone reports them.
• Full cycle charge walks you through one charge from near empty to full. It is Lithie's most complete measurement, so it counts extra toward your health figure.
• A plain battery health report to share when you buy or sell a used phone.
Charge limit
• Stop charging at 80% or the level you set, through the battery protection your phone maker built in where your phone has it, or directly with root.
• Charge to 100% once for a long day, or pick full charge days each week. The limit comes back when you unplug.
• No charge limit switch on your phone? Lithie can open a smart plug's web address when the limit is reached.
Charging alarm
• Battery alarms for full charge, low battery and heat, or a charge alarm at any level you choose.
• Keep ringing until you look. Do Not Disturb still applies.
Live battery monitor
• A live charge ring with charging current in mA, power in watts, battery temperature and voltage.
• Time to full and time left on battery. Holding at the limit shows as holding, never as slow charging.
Charger and cable test
• Check this cable: in about a minute Lithie reads what the charger offered, what the cable let through, the connection protocol and Android's own USB warnings. When the phone slows charging itself, because it is nearly full, warm or pacing the charge, Lithie says so instead of judging the cable.
• Chargers and cables ranked by the power that really reached the battery, not the number on the box.
Charging history and battery drain
• Charts you can scrub: charges per day, energy charged, charging power, temperature, time held at the limit, and battery drain with the screen on and off.
• A report for every charge with its curve.
• CSV export, and a backup file to restore on a new phone.
Wakelocks and battery usage per app
• Wakelock view: which apps kept the phone awake with the screen off and what woke it, from Android's own records.
• Battery usage per app, from the system's own figures.
• Apps you have not opened in weeks that keep waking the phone come first.
• Restrict in background, Stop background activity, or Freeze an app. Each change is read back from Android, so you see whether it took. Every action asks first and can be undone. Apps your phone needs are protected and never touched.
Power mode, no computer and no root
The charge limit, the phone's own battery figures and app actions need more access than a normal app has. Lithie sets it up once through Wireless debugging on the phone itself. With root, Lithie can also read the kernel's wake sources and the battery gauge's own figures. It only runs a fixed list of battery reads and settings and the app actions you confirm.
