Lyra Reader (LyraReader) is an e-book reader that reads your own books aloud with the voice of a real narrator, Kirill Golovin (a neural model trained on his voice; Russian narration).

Open any book of yours — FB2, EPUB, PDF, TXT, DOCX, ZIP — and listen to it like an audiobook. Books in other languages are read by your device's voice.

What Lyra Reader does:
• Narrates your books in Russian with a lifelike voice; device voice for other languages.
• Free classics: a catalog of classic books with narration, no subscription needed.
• Offline: download chapters in advance — whole book, from the current chapter, or a range — and listen without internet. Files are encrypted and play only inside the app.
• Reading and listening share one position in the book.
• Sync of progress, bookmarks and library across phone, tablet and the web version.
• Book scanner finds files on your device and adds them in one tap.
• Reading statistics, achievements, themes: light, sepia, dark and E-Ink mode.
• Interface in 13 languages.
• Account protection: two-factor authentication and backup codes.

What’s new

The screen no longer dims while you read: see "Screen while reading" in settings. Pinch with two fingers to change the font size. Brightness and warm light open with a long press at the left or right edge; "Auto" restores the system brightness. Offline: the chapter list expands for any book, downloaded chapters get a "Listen" button, downloads are faster. Book scanner: folder hints and buttons within reach. Minor fixes.
