Trips, dinners, shared rent - when several people have each paid for different things, working out who owes whom turns into arithmetic nobody wants to do at the end of a holiday.
Settle keeps the running total and does that arithmetic for you. Add each expense as it happens, and balances update immediately: who paid what, and who owes whom right now. When it's time to square up, one tap shows the smallest set of payments that clears every debt - not everyone paying everyone, just the few transfers that actually matter.
WORKS WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
Your groups stay on your device. Sign in only if you want them synced across your phone and laptop, or shared with the rest of the group.

What’s new
Someone left the group? Mark them inactive: they are left out of new expenses by default, and what they owe or are owed stays exactly as it is. Open the group's edit screen and tap "Who's still in the group?"
Tidier pop-ups: less empty space at the top and bottom of Add expense, Edit group and the other sheets.
Messages now fit your screen, and "How they get paid" can be hidden again once it is filled in.
Settle up scrolls its heading away, so there is more room for the list.
