QUIT is an app and website blocker that helps you stop using gambling apps, betting sites, and social media feeds you're trying to cut back on.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE USAGE
QUIT uses the Android Accessibility Service permission to power its core blocking feature. With this permission, QUIT reads the foreground app's package name and, in supported browsers, the visible address bar URL/domain, and checks it against the list of apps and websites you chose to block — that's how QUIT knows when to show the blocking screen. QUIT also uses this permission to detect when you try to uninstall QUIT itself and shows an in-app "stay" screen first, as part of its accountability design — you can still choose to continue and uninstall QUIT at any time. This data is only used on your device to detect blocked apps/sites and uninstall attempts; QUIT does not use Accessibility Service to collect, store, or transmit this data off your device, and never uses it for advertising or profiling. You grant this permission yourself, from inside the app, after seeing a clear explanation and confirming with an explicit "Allow" — and you can revoke it anytime in Android Settings.
WHAT QUIT DOES
- Blocks specific apps and websites you choose — including gambling and betting apps/sites, and social apps like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube (including their Reels/Shorts/short-video feeds).
- When you try to open a blocked app or site, QUIT shows an interstitial screen instead of letting it open.
- For gambling and betting apps specifically, that interstitial screen is a free, simulated casino-style mini-game (Blackjack, Roulette, Mines, Plinko). No real money, no real betting, no real winnings or losses — it exists only as a short delay screen to interrupt the urge to open the real app, not as a gambling feature. You cannot win money or prizes in QUIT.
- Tracks how many days you've avoided the apps/sites you've blocked, and how many times you resisted opening them.
- Lets you add friends inside the app and see each other's progress, for accountability.
WHO IT'S FOR
QUIT is for anyone who wants to reduce or stop using gambling apps, betting websites, or time-wasting social feeds. It is a self-control and habit tool, not a gambling app, and does not offer real-money gambling in any form.
MAIN FEATURES
- Block chosen apps and websites (gambling apps/sites, social apps, or any app you pick)
- Free simulated mini-games (no real money) shown as a blocking delay screen for gambling/betting apps
- Daily streak and usage stats
- Friends list for shared accountability
- Works in the background via a monitoring service so blocks apply automatically
Required permissions:
QUIT requires Accessibility Service, Usage Access, and Display Over Other Apps to provide its core blocking features.
- Accessibility Service is used to detect supported browser website visits and foreground app transitions needed for blocking (see "Accessibility Service usage" above)
- Usage Access is used to detect foreground app usage and support blocking and time tracking
- Display Over Other Apps is used to show the blocking screen above blocked content
These permissions are only used to provide the blocking features that you explicitly enable, and QUIT does not process real-money transactions, does not offer real gambling, and does not connect to any betting or casino service.
App & website blocker for gambling, betting apps, and doomscrolling.
