Roughin is a blueprint reader and plan viewer for your phone. Upload a PDF of your construction drawings and Roughin splits it into sheets and sorts them by discipline, so the electrical, plumbing and structural drawings sit in separate groups and not in one long file. It's made for contractors, electricians, plumbers, framers, HVAC techs and foremen who work from construction plans on the jobsite.
Blueprints sorted by discipline
Roughin reads each sheet number and title and files each sheet under its discipline: architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical or civil. If a sheet lands in the wrong group, move it. Search by sheet number or title, build your own sets, and open several sheets together as a stack.
What you can do on a blueprint sheet
• Mark up and annotate with boxes, labels and text
• Set the scale, then measure lengths and areas on the drawing
• Add notes, kept personal or shared with your crew
• Attach site photos and mark them up
• Crop part of a blueprint and share it
• Use the construction calculator for feet, inches and fractions, metric, triangles, areas and volumes, and save a result to a sheet's notes
Ask questions about your plans
Ask AI answers questions about your plan set and shows which sheets it used. AI can get things wrong, so always check the drawing.
For crews and companies
Roughin Teams lets a company share plans with its crew, assign projects, and keep messages, hours and photos in one place. A company admin sets it up on the Roughin website, and crew sign in to the app with the same login.
Plans
The construction calculator and notes are free, with a monthly upload allowance. Solo and Pro are monthly subscriptions that add sorting, markup, measuring, site photos, custom sets, sheet stacks and Ask AI, with higher upload limits on Pro. New subscribers who qualify get a 7-day free trial. Available in Canada and the United States.
