About this app

Bring the Sinclair ZX Spectrum to your Android device. Retro-Spectrum is built on the UnrealSpeccy Portable core and runs the machines the Spectrum library was written for.

EVERY SPECTRUM, NOT JUST ONE
48K, 128K, +2 and +3, and Pentagon with TR-DOS. Pick the model a title expects and it behaves the way it did on the real hardware, attribute clash and all.

LOAD WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
Tapes, snapshots and disk images from device storage. Point the app at a folder and it catalogues what it finds; zipped downloads work as they are, no unpacking required.

BUILT FOR TOUCH AND FOR CONTROLLERS
A Spectrum keyboard laid out for the screen, on-screen controls you can arrange how you like, and support for Bluetooth and USB gamepads.

FEATURES
- UnrealSpeccy Portable core: Z80, ULA and AY sound
- 48K, 128K, +2/+3 and Pentagon models, with TR-DOS
- Tape, snapshot and disk image support, zipped or loose
- On-screen Spectrum keyboard and configurable touch controls
- External gamepad support
- Save states, and a library that organises itself

This app ships with no copyrighted software and no games. Spectrum ROMs and the titles you play are supplied by you, from hardware or software you legally own.

Retro-Spectrum is derived from UnrealSpeccy Portable and released under the GNU General Public License.
