Tapebo is the Android AI agent that does not disappear when the internet does.
A small GGUF model ships inside the app, so Tapebo can answer on first launch without sign-up, a cloud account, or a required model download. Use it for private drafting, planning, note cleanup, local research, and no-signal moments where your phone still needs to help you think.
It is not a generic cloud chatbot. Tapebo is a local-first AI workspace with memory, missions, guarded tools, model control, and a visible network ledger.
No signal? Still useful.
Work in airplane mode with the bundled local model. Offline lock blocks network-capable paths, and normal local turns stay on your device.
Private local memory
Keep chats, notes, tasks, Inbox captures, imported documents, plans, projects, saved outputs, and mission traces in app-private storage. Import text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, or HTML with source names, MIME type, SHA-256 hashes, and stable chunks.
Give it a mission
Turn larger goals into durable missions with orbit presets, checkable steps, linked agent threads, plans, and project dossiers. Work from local sources instead of scattered prompts, then preserve useful results as context you can return to later.
Guarded action layer
Tapebo can read time, calculate, check device status, control models and orbit/tools, use the clipboard, keep notes and tasks, advance missions, track Learning Lab experiments, read threads and saved outputs, search your workspace, read imported documents, work on plans and projects, and fetch a web page only when you allow it. Risky actions wait for your approval.
Proof, not mystery
The Monitor shows hardware state, model activity, action journal entries, and network connections. When provider mode or web fetch is used, Tapebo keeps network use visible instead of hiding it.
Your models and keys
Use the bundled model, download curated Qwen3.5, LFM2.5, SmolLM3, Gemma 3n, Phi-4, and smaller GGUF models, stop downloads, switch or unload models, delete downloaded models, or load your own compatible model. Optional provider mode supports your own API keys and local network hosts.
Learning Lab and personalization
Run private AI starter packs for image, audio, text, sensor, ranking, toy-generator, and adapter experiments. Track labels, train/held-out examples, data notes, metrics, and steps. Choose original voice profiles and visual skins, write your own local presence prompt, and export/import portable Presence Packs.
Tapebo has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or subscription. Network use is limited to optional model downloads, optional user-configured API providers, and the user-armed web fetch tool. Every connection is shown in the Monitor.
