Is it free?

The Etax app is free to download and use for saving receipts. Lodging a tax return, which includes full tax agent checking and support involves a low, transparent fee. The standard Fast Etax Return is just AU$87.49. Additional fees apply for more complex returns, business schedules, or the fee-from-refund payment option.

What about the ATO?

This app is not affiliated with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Unlike ATO tools, Etax provides qualified tax agent support and personalised advice. The ATO's role is to collect tax, not to help you get a better refund. Our job is to get you more back and make tax easy.

Ratings and reviews

Etax remains my favorite tax account. Their charge is competitive. I do not have to spend time traveling. Everything can be done on a laptop or computer. it would be nice if I will just send you paperwork like statements so that u fill in info for us.

I am very happy with how easy this is to use and for the support offered when I wasnt sure about deductions etc. I will continue to use E-forms and will recommend to family and friends.

App used to be great, completely unable to use it this year. Notification tells me the 2023 tax form will be available in June, it's nearly August. Had to complete forms online, which was still easy to do. But defeats the purpose of having the app downloaded. You can take snapshots of documents throughout the year as reminders of your deductions but when completing the forms have to fill out the sections and re-upload images.
