The Qantas Entertainment app allows you to connect to the onboard wireless network (this is not the Internet), on selected Qantas domestic flights without individual seatback screens, so you can watch or listen to:

* Movies
* TV Shows & Boxsets
* Audiobooks & Podcasts
* Games

Using the app

Once onboard, connect your device to the onboard wireless network in 3 simple steps:
1. Turn on Flight Mode.
2. Enable Wi-Fi and connect to the Q-Streaming or Qantas Free Wi-Fi network.
3. Launch the Qantas Entertainment App.

The Qantas Entertainment app is best enjoyed on a tablet device. Please remember to charge your personal device and to bring your headphones.

Thought I'd give it a go. Not the best. Logged on OK to the WiFi, opened the app & selected a movie. Sat through 2 minutes of ads & then nothing. Thought it was my phone so reconnected & tried again, had to sit through the same ads & at the end no movie. Wondered if it was because that movie was popular so tried a TV program. Only had to sit through 1 minute of ads this time but afterwards still no entertainment. It just doesn't work. Maybe it's just this flight but I'm not entertained.

App opens, connects to the wifi, plays the advertisements and then refuses to play any content constantly saying there are technical issues. Any flight, any different aircraft it's all the same. Even the cabin crew managers are at a loss to try to get it to work. Going through an internet browser as a workaround doesn't help either. It still says "technical issues, get cabin crew to help"

Crazy that for something that was free and expected on a non budget airline like watching a movie, I now need to give you access to my data. It would have been nice to relax after my delayed flight but now I have to decide if its worth qantas having and potentially selling my data just to watch Avatar 3.
