**Who is RACT?**

We've been a part of the Tasmanian community for over 99 years, providing roadside assistance, vehicle, home and contents insurance, personal and car loans and driver education.

Our purpose hasn’t changed – we’re here to support the lives of Tasmanians.
We engage in consumer advocacy, particularly regarding Tasmanian petrol prices, which are both historically and recently higher than in other parts of Australia.

Our Fuel Saver app is a step towards fairer fuel pricing. It gives RACT members and the broader Tasmanian community more opportunities to shop around and buy the cheapest fuel. This leads to greater fuel retailer accountability, which helps put downward pressure on prices.

Since 1923 our purpose hasn’t changed – we’re here to support the lives of Tasmanians.

Ratings and reviews

It doesn't work properly. Location doesn't match ie opening it in Launceston it shows you stations in Hobart. Also led us to the "cheapest" petrol and the station was closed down and being dug up! Massive fail! At least needs to be updated daily to be any use at all.

It's a good app with a good premise, but the prices are not accurate. Feature request is the ability to report incorrect prices and the app would check if it was within a tolerance and if so, would update the price, and it can be verified by other users.

NEEDS OPTION TO STORE FAVOURITE LOCATION/REGION & DISCOUNT ON/OFF OPTION & DISPLAY THIS SEARCH RESULT FOR PRICES ON EACH APP. START. As I do not wish to keep typing postcode/region & selecting apply discount upon each app. load,(also my Dad is too "old" to keep doing this for himself). OTHERWISE it's working well so far,(haven't checked validity of prices against bowsers yet though; As I haven't required a refuel for a while now, but assume they're obtaining correct daily pricing data).
