About this app

Led by Hugo, the world’s most lovable 3D interpreter, the Hand Talk app automatically translates text and audio to American Sign Language (ASL) [Beta] and Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) through artificial Intelligence.

If you’re interested in learning a new language in a practical and fun way, the Hand Talk app is the right choice for you!

There are over 466 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the world, and Hand Talk, elected the World’s Best Social App by the UN, emerges as a pocket translator with the goal of bringing people together through technology and communication.

You can rate Hugo’s translations and save your favourite ones, adjust Hugo’s speed, customize his clothes and background in Hugo’s Store and much more!

The Hand Talk app is a powerful tool, used in the most diverse contexts:
• In the classroom, by teachers, students and interpreters as a complementary communication resource;
• At home, by families with deaf and hearing people;
• By sign language students that want to improve their vocabulary with Hugo’s Help.

I really like this app! But it continues to have ads even though I paid to have them stopped. Especially because its happening every other time I ask for a word or questions. This is really frustrating when I'm trying so hard to learn ASL because my brother can no longer speak. Otherwise, compared to the ones I paid for its a great app. Please address this issue. I could give it a 4-5 but not until I can get the ads removed.

This app plus a few YouTube videos helps so much, and only .99 to get rid of adds isn't bad at all. As a whole the UI is well made. With plenty of customization(extra features). Takes maybe 5-15 seconds to actually convert text to asl, and adds pop up every 4-6 conversations. I'd still say it's the best asl app atm

Wow! This is a very modern and clever app. However, he only does SEE (Signing Exact English), not ASL. This app will be the bees knees when the AI can translate English to ASL. A word by itself will by signed correctly, but not the sentence. When he says that he can "help you," he signs "help" and "you." In ASL, he would sign the "help" and move it towards you to indicate "help you." The sign "help" would otherwise go straight up, but if YOU need help, you would move the sign towards you.
