Callfilter.app is a simple and effective app that blocks unwanted calls. It’s free, has no ads, and doesn’t collect or share your personal data.

WHAT IT BLOCKS
Callfilter.app can automatically block:

PRIVACY-FIRST
You can use Callfilter.app without Contacts access.
If you choose to allow Contacts access, the app can always allow calls from your contacts (optional).

The spam database is updated multiple times a day. Updates are optimized to keep protection strong without draining your battery or wasting data.

Ratings and reviews

Great little app that lets me block calls from certain numbers while not being invasive and asking for a dozen permissions. The other apps require email, phone dialer, contacts, texts, and location permissions; but this ONLY asks for spam call permission. It doesn't even need to connect to the Internet for every call, it filters based on cached lists. Literally the best for privacy, protection, and spam protection!

The only thing lacking in this excellent call blocker app is the ability to "turn off protection indefinitely" if needed so I don't have to uninstall the app in order to achieve that. Right now you can only turn it off for a 48-hour period and then you have to turn it off again. With my need right now because of an auto accident and I am in recovery mode, I need to keep the app turned off for calls coming from unknown numbers from doctors and other things through the next month or so

Finally, a call blocker that really does block calls. Occasionally, something makes it through to voice mail, and that is not often. When I block a number, it is blocked. I don't get any notifications on my phone, my watch, or my car, which, for me, is a relief. Other call blockers would have a notification of a block call and put them to voice mail. The calls would always ring through my car and watch, regardless of whether they were blocked or not. Call Filter stops the call.
