About this app

FolderVault keeps your most important folders safely backed up to the cloud (currently, Google Drive) — automatically, incrementally, and with optional encryption that only you can unlock.
It's built for files that rarely change: photo libraries, scans, document archives, exports. Point it at a folder once and FolderVault quietly uploads new files on the schedule you choose. Unchanged files are never re-sent.
SET IT AND FORGET IT

Pick a folder once; new files upload automatically in the background.
Run as many independent backups as you like — each with its own source folder, Google Drive destination, schedule, and settings.
Choose Manual, Hourly, Daily, or Weekly, over Wi-Fi only or any connection.

ONLY UPLOADS WHAT CHANGED

Incremental by design: only new or changed files are sent, so backups stay fast and light on data.
Your folder structure is mirrored in the cloud, so everything stays organised exactly as on your device.
Append-only and safe: FolderVault never deletes anything in the cloud. Deleting a file on your phone never touches your backup.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

Optional client-side AES-256 encryption — files are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it.
Your cloud provider only ever stores encrypted bytes; it cannot read your files.
The key is derived from your password, so only you can restore. There is no password reset: if you forget it, the backup cannot be recovered.

RESTORE ANYWHERE

Download your backup folder using your cloud app, then let FolderVault decrypt it into a fresh folder — on any device, even after reinstalling.
Restore runs completely offline. No account or connection needed to decrypt.

STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY

Runs in the background and survives reboots.
Sends a clear notification if a backup ever needs attention, so it can't quietly stop working without you knowing.
Honest, readable status for every backup and every run.

GOOD TO KNOW

FolderVault is a one-way backup (phone to cloud), not a two-way sync.
Changed files are kept as new timestamped copies, so you keep version history. An optional retention policy can trim old versions automatically.
Changes are detected by modification date and size.
Reinstalling the app or clearing its data means the next run re-uploads from scratch. Your data already in the cloud always stays safe.
