About this app

The app AGOV access is your access key to e-government services of the Swiss authorities (cantons and their communes as well as federal administration).

The AGOV system (see https://agov.ch) is a login procedure, identity provider and identity network and is available worldwide for interaction with Swiss authorities.

Ratings and reviews

Every time I start this app there is some error and there is no useful information what the problem is. I have a screen lock with pin code, that made it work again two months ago (fingerprint was not enough). Now it says 'sdk unknown ERROR The app cannot be started.' I'm doing the third identification check in two years, so annoying. It's not like I enjoy doing taxes and like wasting hours on logging in.

I needed to reinstall the app and initiated the recovery process, using the recovery key I had saved. This was a 30 min futile exercise that lead nowhere. In the end I just registered as a new account and that worked. The version of may 2026 doesn't require notifications to be allowed anymore and respects also the os settings in that regard. Also the app usage is streamined. I haven't used the recovery process again so can't say if that one works better. Upgraded the evaluation from 1 to 3 stars

on GraphineOS says my phone is rooted when it is not. says it is for security reasons, but this app requires Google! A government access app should above all be sovereign and not rely on any foreign services or require data sharing with another country (especially the USA) sadly I cannot assign zero stars... ☹️
