ePassRead is an NFC passport reader designed for electronic passports and other ICAO-compliant travel documents.
Place a supported electronic passport near your NFC-enabled Android device to read the passport chip. The app can display available identity information, document details, the chip portrait, data groups, and verification results returned by the document.
Key features:
• Read ICAO-compliant electronic passports using NFC
• Display passport holder and document information
• Read the portrait stored in the passport chip
• Review chip data groups and security verification results
• Store passport records locally on the device
• Capture the passport information page and a comparison selfie
• Configure one or more reporting endpoints
• Encrypt passport reports before uploading
• Confirm every upload before it is sent
• Review upload history and diagnostic logs
• Back up and restore supported data
• Multiple interface languages
Important:
An NFC-enabled Android device and an electronic passport with a contactless chip are required. Passport number, date of birth, and expiry date are used to establish secure access to the passport chip.
ePassRead reads and displays data provided by the passport chip. The app does not replace official border control, government identity verification, or professional document examination. Verification results depend on the data and security mechanisms supported by each passport.
Passport information is processed locally by default. Data is sent only after the user configures a server, selects a record, and confirms the upload.
Read NFC ePassport chip data securely and manage passport records locally.
