About this app

🍏 Caloric is a lightweight (the entire app size is just 1MB), simple, and convenient calorie deficit calculator app for food.

🧠 Key points about calorie deficit:
A calorie deficit is important because it forces your body to tap into its stored fat reserves for energy, leading to weight loss when you consume fewer calories than you burn each day; essentially, creating a calorie deficit is the key mechanism for sustainable weight management by promoting gradual fat burning while preserving muscle mass.

Fat burning:
When you're in a calorie deficit, your body is forced to use stored fat as fuel to compensate for the lack of incoming calories, resulting in weight loss.

Sustainable weight loss:
A moderate calorie deficit allows for gradual and sustainable weight loss, unlike drastic diet changes that can be difficult to maintain.

Muscle preservation:
By managing the calorie deficit appropriately, your body is more likely to target fat stores for energy rather than muscle tissue.

Improved health markers:
Maintaining a healthy calorie deficit can positively impact various health markers like blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and blood pressure.

👉 Therefore this calorie deficit calculator app helps you keep track of your calorie intake, which is important to maintain the calorie deficit, and amount of nutrients you get from food eaten per day.

You only need to chose a dish or a product from the list, add its approximate weight, and you will instantly receive a short table of its nutritional values (calories, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates).

🍎 Also Caloric: Calorie Deficit Calculator App includes following functionality:
- Calculator for required daily calorie intake
- Calculator for required daily calorie surplus (if your goal is to gain weight)

Too complicated and everything is in cm and kg. Also, not a great selection for food options. How can I record what I ate if there's nothing even close to it on the list, and if I want to add my own, I have to know the weight of it in grams? Really!? Hard pass.
