About this app

LCH–After the Call

Mental Health Support for First Responders

LCH–After the Call is a confidential mental health and emotional recovery app designed specifically for first responders who carry the unseen weight of critical incidents. Built for moments after the sirens stop, the app provides immediate, practical tools to help users process trauma, regulate stress responses, and prevent long-term psychological harm following high-impact calls.

Purpose

First responders routinely face death, severe injury, suicide, child fatalities, and moral injury, often without adequate time or space to decompress. LCH–After the Call exists to address that gap, offering structured, stigma-free support that fits the realities of emergency service work.

Core Focus Areas

Post-Incident Decompression
Guided tools to help responders mentally and physically come down after traumatic calls, including fatalities, pediatric deaths, suicides, and mass-casualty events.

Acute Stress & Trauma Regulation
Short, evidence-informed grounding and nervous-system reset exercises designed for use immediately after a call or at shift’s end.

Moral Injury & Ethical Distress Support
Targeted reflections and processing tools for calls involving perceived failure, unavoidable loss, or actions taken under impossible circumstances.

Cumulative Trauma Awareness
Features that help users recognize patterns of burnout, emotional numbing, hypervigilance, and delayed stress responses are common in long-term service.

Private Reflection & Journaling
Secure space to document experiences that are difficult to share aloud, helping prevent emotional suppression and long-term psychological buildup.

Crisis & Resource Access
Direct access to crisis support resources, peer support options, and responder-specific mental health pathways when additional help is needed.
