Master the Micro-Dodge
Pilot your Viper interceptor through impossible swarms of glowing 8-point shurikens. Your ship might be large, but your true physical hitbox is just the tiny, glowing reactor core in the center. Master the art of the "micro-dodge" to weave your core through razor-thin gaps in the enemy formations.
Your Power is Your Greatest Danger
In Mandala Zero, your firepower controls the throttle of the game. As you collect powerups to upgrade your primary cannons, side-spreads, and auto-turrets, the entire enemy swarm speeds up in real-time! Max out your arsenal and enter a polyrhythmic trance of light and sound—but take a hit, and your weapons downgrade, instantly slamming the brakes on the enemy swarm to give you a cinematic, slow-motion chance to carve an escape path. High risk, high reward!
Enter the Negative Zone
Face off against procedural waves of spinning geometric mandalas and weaving serpentine streams. Survive long enough, and the fabric of space will tear. Get abducted into the blinding white "Negative Zone" to face the Dreadnought—a massive, multi-phase boss that fills the screen with pitch-black geometry and homing micro-ships.
The Field Workshop
Collect Scrap from destroyed hostiles and visit the Field Workshop between sectors. Install permanent hardware upgrades like Magnetic Hulls and Rapid Fire, or spend your scrap on temporary Overclocks like Kinetic Shields, Score Multipliers, and screen-clearing EMP bombs to push your high score even further.
