Explore how autonomous rovers reason about difficult terrain in Off-Road Autonomy Visual Lab, an offline-first learning and simulation app for robotics students, educators, and curious builders.
Learn the foundations of off-road autonomy through guided lessons, visual explainers, flashcards, quizzes, glossary search, and practical challenges. Then move into the interactive lab to generate deterministic terrain, inspect slope and traversability layers, compare safer and distance-biased routes, and watch a rover play back telemetry.
The 3D lab includes:
• hardware-accelerated terrain on supported Android devices;
• orbit, chase, and rover-mast first-person cameras;
• terrain painting, elevation and surface analysis;
• route ribbons, hazards, set dressing, survey beacons, and rover markers;
• play, pause, step, rewind, reset, and slow-motion controls;
• slip, pitch, roll, stopping distance, energy, localization, and occlusion telemetry.
Save missions and learning progress locally, build a capstone scenario, export a report with Android’s document picker, and use the accessible 2D compatibility lab when OpenGL ES 3 is unavailable.
This is a transparent educational approximation—not a vehicle controller, safety-certified planner, remote-robot interface, or real-world navigation guarantee. The initial release works without an account. Optional cloud, AR, real-robot, code-runner, and video integrations are shown as setup-needed placeholders.
The app contains a small Google Mobile Ads native ad card. Advertising privacy choices are available inside the app. See the public privacy policy before release for the exact URL to enter in Play Console.
