About this app

Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) project was initiated by the Government of India under its Digital India Initiative in the year 2014.
AEBAS application was created for all Government employees who are registered on the attendance portal to mark their attendance. This ensures employee punctuality and transparency.
The application allows all Government Officers/Employees to mark attendance on daily basis.
This application is not available for general public and only registered employees of the organisation can mark their attendance.

Attendance marking for the employees was initially allowed through Fingerprint/IRIS devices.
With the need of the hour, AEBAS team has created software for FACE based Aadhaar authentication with UIDAI RD for attendance marking through Face Authentication. For face authentication, picture from the repository of CIDR of UIDAI would be used. In this process face biometric would be used in place of Fingerprint/Iris of the individual.

In real time scenario, the registered user enters his/her attendance ID and places the biometric on the device. This particular information is then matched with the CIDR of UIDAI and on this authentication response, the registered user’s attendance is marked. The entire process of attendance marking is completed in 2-3 seconds.

For face based authentication and attendance marking, the process for attendance marking would remain the same, where in the user would input his/her attendance ID and would be prompted to show the face.
On successful attendance marking, the display would show attendance opening and/or attendance closing for that particular employee.

- This application works only in Indian IP Space (within the territory of Government of India)
- The RD service of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Aadhaar Face RD is used which is available in TestFlight mode by UIDAI.
- The application is not used by General Public
- The target audience for application usage are the registered users of the Attendance System only.
