About this app

Hear it. Say it. Play it. Polyrhythm Trainer helps you learn how independent rhythms fit together, using spoken phrases placed exactly on their shared pattern.

Start with subdivisions, then explore 3:2, 4:3, 5:4 and more across 22 lessons, including three-layer stacks and polymeter. A phrase such as Please pass the bread gives you something to say while your hands learn three against two. Where a longer phrase would obscure the rhythm, lessons use a carrier word and visual pattern instead.

PRACTISE AT YOUR PACE
Change the tempo, hear individual layers, watch their meeting points and tap along. Spoken syllables and rhythmic sounds share one audio clock. Pause whenever you need to, move between lessons and return to your practice record.

TIMING YOU CAN UNDERSTAND
Use calibration to account for your device's delay. Practice feedback measures the evenness of your taps and reports the constant offset separately, so a steady delay is not confused with uneven playing. Device speakers, Bluetooth and haptics can have different delays.

OFFLINE FROM THE FIRST LAUNCH
All lessons and sound assets are included. There are no accounts, ads or in-app purchases. The Android app has no Internet permission and collects or shares no data. Practice history, calibration and settings stay in the app's local storage and are excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Export a copy when you choose, erase your practice record in Settings, or clear all app storage through Android Settings.
