About this game

Delve into Dungeons of Aether and adventure underground on a quest to solve the mysteries of Julesvale. Play as four unique heroes and master a mix of items, abilities, and strategy-filled combat. Draft dice to fight against deadly enemies all while solving puzzles to save the day.

Dungeons of Aether is a turn-based dungeon crawler designed by Nikita ‘ampersandbear’ Belorusov from the Aether Studios team. Rivals of Aether is known for its intense competition and twitch skills, while Dungeons of Aether allows you to take things at your own pace - but it’s still just as challenging! Every choice you make can lead you deeper into the dungeons or to an early demise. Will you carry out a treasure chest, or be carried out in a pine box?

The combat in Dungeons of Aether uses a dice draft system that ensures each battle is unique while challenging the player to adapt the pool of dice each turn. Use fortune to your favor to defeat your foes, collect treasures and shift the odds in your favor...

Game Features:
- Meet four NEW HEROES from the world of Aether, each with their own unique skills and memorable personalities.
- Play STORY MODE and travel to the steampunk town of Julesvale and brave the sprawling caverns underneath it.
- Explore each DUNGEON BIOME as you dive into Julesvale Mines, the Lava Caves, the Underground Oasis and the Mineral Deposits, collecting revealing Journal Entries along the way.
- Brave the CHALLENGE DUNGEONS if you are looking for true roguelike difficulty to test your skills in the randomly generated dungeons.

Really fun for a short campaign experience. The gameplay has a solid loop, a decent amount of build diversity, and can be quite addicting once you've started. The music is a fantastic love letter to retro rpgs, but with an effective modern tint. The biggest issue with the game is how short the story mode is. There is a post-game mode if you want to play it, but it's not quite the same. All-in-all though, a great experience for the price. I look forward to seeing what the devs do next.

Very fun little game that's perfect for people who love on-the-fly strategizing. The system of allocating points each turn to out-maneuver your foe is exciting & can really make you stop & think about your selections. If you want to learn more about the lore of the world of Aether, this is the most hands-on way to do so. Interesting stories too! Perfect for those who like allocation & strategic, puzzle-solving combat. Not good for those who prefer games to focus on freedom or spacial movement.

Awful combat system. Im sure its personal taste, but I just could not get into the game. Game heavily favors defensive play. Which I like, but its very grindy in this game. Graphics and sound are superb as always from aether. Could never give them an actual 1 star, but look up combat vids before you buy.
