Shelfscore is the food scanner that never asks you to sign up.
Scan a barcode — or type the numbers under it — and get a Shelfscore from 0 to 100. Every point is explained: nutrition from the Nutri-Score grade, how processed the food is (NOVA group), and the additives it contains, each with its EFSA overexposure rating. If part of the data is missing, Shelfscore tells you which part and scores only what it knows.
See the details that matter: fat, saturated fat, sugars and salt rated low, medium or high (UK FSA thresholds, per 100 ml for drinks), allergens and "may contain" traces, whether it's vegan, vegetarian or contains palm oil, and the full ingredient list.
Free and unlimited: scanning, search by name, and every score with its reasons. Your history stays on your phone and works offline.
Shelfscore Pro adds a personal watchlist — allergens, additives, palm oil, vegan or vegetarian — with a red alert on any product that matches, Better options from the same category with a higher score, and your full history. $2.99 per month, $14.99 per year or $24.99 once. The price and the next charge date are shown in plain text before you pay.
Product data comes from Open Food Facts, the free, open food database built by volunteers (Open Database License; product photos CC BY-SA). Shelfscore isn't affiliated with Open Food Facts or Nutri-Score. If a product isn't there yet, Shelfscore links you to add it.
