Secure Delete helps you delete personal files you choose with privacy-focused deletion techniques.

Select documents, photos, videos, downloads, and other files through Android’s system file picker. Secure Delete then attempts to overwrite file contents with random data when the selected storage provider allows it, before requesting deletion.

Your files stay on your device. Secure Delete does not require an account and does not upload selected files to our servers.

HONEST ABOUT DELETION

Secure Delete reduces recovery risk where supported, but no Android app can guarantee that a file is permanently unrecoverable on every device.

Results can vary because of flash storage behavior, scoped storage, cloud synchronization, backups, thumbnails, caches, messaging backups, storage providers, and device manufacturer behavior.

The app cannot guarantee removal from:

• Cloud backups
• Thumbnails or cache created by other apps
• Messaging app backups
• Previously deleted files
• Inaccessible app-private storage

For stronger privacy, also remember to:

• Back up important data
• Delete sensitive files
• Remove your accounts
• Perform a factory reset
• Remove the device from your Google account

Secure Delete is designed for everyday personal privacy, old documents, family media, financial files, and device cleanup. It is not designed for bypassing law enforcement, security inspections, or illegal activity.
