Enjoyed my 1st time using virtual visit through Amwell. My doctor was unavailable and I needed my prescription renewed. They were able to do so, the call took less than 5 minutes. Very professional provider, would recommend using wifi to provide higher quality sound and video. This is a lower cost alternative to going to the Urgent care. I would recommend this service for small complexity conditions like cold symtoms, etc.
The initial setup was easy and not too time consuming. The provider I saw, Dr. Wiita was very professional as well as compassionate. I also liked that you have the ability to upload documents and images right from your phone. I also loved that you and your provider are able to see each other via video. I've used a similar service in the past and always felt strange because they couldn't even see me to assess me. I did wait about an hour to see a provider however it was also 3 am in the morning. Another nice feature is that the app constantly searches for other providers that may become available sooner. I had a great experience.
This is the best thing ever! It took less than 10 minutes waiting and no more than 5 minutes to diagnose my strep throat. It did help that my daughter was just diagnosed locally to give the provider a little more clarity. I highly recommend!
Had a work related injury and spoke with a nurse via my company's workmans comp. Through them I was approved for TeleMed and connected with AmWell and had an appointment the same day as contacting about the injury. Spoke with a doctor and properly treated in just under 30 mins
13 hours later and they still haven't sent my Rx to the pharmacy yet and I was just told hopefully they'll get to it soon. Avoid at all costs. If you need urgent care this is not a viable option. Won't give me a copy of my own Rx to take in either even though they're the ones not sending to pharmacy.
Simple process, inexpensive. Great doctor. He actually avoided prescribing an antibiotic, since my illness had not been prolonged, but prescribed me a medication to treat the symptoms whole my body could still do the work to get me well again.
