If you are trying to get away from this app for it having ads, don't. The only thing it has is a stationary ad on the panel and if you come out it doesn't pop up just to feed you with an ad, so it really is near free, ethically at least. For the sounds themselves, there are a variety of sounds that you could possibly want, and even taking a step further and letting you mix the sounds you'd like. Overall it's a very solid app with a bunch of quirky options at it, give it a try.

Doesn't collect data, has a really good library of a variety of sounds, the sound quality is very nice and clear, you can combine sounds and adjust the volume for each individual sound as well as adjust the volume of the app in relation to the volume of your device (meaning I can play the sounds in the background without interfering with things like the alarm, or videos, etc) The fact that you get so many sounds and features like infinite playback for free is amazing.

Originally I used this to help my child sleep while traveling. Now I use it for myself every night. I love all the options. I'm able to mix the sounds for what works best for me. It helps mask my tinnitus and also covers wind noises well. I'm honestly annoyed with the app lately. It used to work really well, but it now requires that I turn off Wi-Fi and data otherwise it dies very quickly.
