About this app

Drivers Against Flock is a privacy-focused navigation app for drivers who prefer their routes with fewer surveillance cameras and fewer creepy little boxes on poles.

The app helps you discover places, get directions, and choose between the fastest route and a more private route that avoids known ALPR and surveillance devices along the way. It includes nearby place search, local details, turn-by-turn navigation, speed and speed-limit information, and details about ALPR markers on the map.

Drivers Against Flock works with or without location access. Location can be used to show where you are and provide directions, but the app remains fully usable without it. When navigating, the app can keep your screen on for convenience while mounted.

Android Auto is available now.

Drivers Against Flock is free to use, with no subscriptions, no payments, and no login required for discovery or navigation. In the future, an OpenStreetMap account may be required to report new markers and help improve the dataset. The app does not collect personal information, and therefore does not sell personal information. Hard to sell what you don’t have.

Map and location data comes from OpenStreetMap, a crowdsourced platform. Because of that, information may sometimes be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify important routes, follow local traffic laws, and stay focused on driving safely.

Drivers Against Flock is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any commercial company. It is built and maintained by one developer in his spare time.
