New subscription model ruins a perfectly fine app. Before it was minor bugs, like having to go in and back out to get the camera to init. No biggie. But now, the ads for the subscription service are constant (one every few hours). Push notifications, in app alerts, emails. When contacting support they said they can't stay profitable without it.... Not my problem, I bought a camera, you couldn't run a business and tried forcing a subscription service years later,no way to opt out. No thanks.

It seems that the people of Yi Camera and I are having a bit of a, " Misunderstanding." Somehow my SD card reader became dysfunctional when I repeatedly decided to not use the subscription. Instead of checking the, "other" box for a reason, I checked the, " I'm happy enough with the SD card playback". From that point on, my SD card became unreadable. It's not even listed as an option in the settings any longer. I can format it on my PC as well as watch the video It recorded, that it didn't lol

Wish I could give 0 stars!! Cameras are great, but the service is terrible. They've made it now that you basically NEED to have a monthly plan to get notifications. It's awful. Even with an SD card. I already pay for a subscription for my outdoor cams. Im not paying for another one. I huess I won't be using or referring people to your products anymore!!
