About this app

A pipe insulation calculator that ends in a priced bid PDF: tap linear feet by pipe size, count fittings and valves, and the man-hours, material, and sell price build as you go. Made for insulation shops bidding from prints without desktop estimating software.

Here is a real takeoff. An area has 200 ft of 2-inch chilled water, 14 elbows, and 6 valves. You tap the 2-inch size tile up to 200 ft, add the elbows and valves, and pick the spec — say double-layer fiberglass with ASJ jacketing. The app applies a labor unit to every foot and fitting, prices the material per linear foot, and shows the area hours and area price on the same screen. Estimators price labor by the foot; the app shows you that per-foot line instead of hiding it.

When the job is tapped out, export the number:

- Priced bid PDF and CSV — line items by pipe size with man-hours, material, and total, ready to send to the GC
- Schedule of Values pay app CSV and PDF — mark areas billed this month, set percent complete
- Change-order proposal PDF and CSV row — price the added scope before it eats your margin
- Man-hours-only takeoff and a one-page field card for the crew

DUCT WRAP AND EQUIPMENT
The same job handles duct wrap: enter duct dimensions and the duct wrap calculator figures surface area in square feet and prices the wrap, jacketing, and labor alongside the pipe runs. Removable blankets and equipment areas price the same way.

AUDIT THE MATH
Every labor unit is visible and editable — open the labor-units screen, see the man-hours per linear foot for each size and material, and tune the numbers to your shop history before you bid. The app prices the spec you pick; it does not choose thickness for condensation, energy code, or worker protection. Use the engineer's spec and confirm your labor units before sending the number.

Jobs stay on the device. There is no account, backend, telemetry, or cloud sync; a takeoff works in a mechanical room basement with no signal. Sharing exports, restoring purchases, and review prompts use the normal Android and Google Play flows.

The free tier produces complete, unwatermarked exports so you can price a real job before paying anything. A Pro unlock raises the job count for shops running multiple bids at once.
