Ratings and reviews

The app displays accurate real time departure information when the app is first opened. From that point on, the departures may or may not be updated, depending on network connection, etc. The app really should tell you whether the estimates are fresh or whether they are stale. It's disappointing that the transit app that serves the world's biggest tech companies has so many bugs, but it reflects on the Bay Area's general apathy toward public transportation.

Updated the app yesterday and tried to pay for parking this morning and getting an error. Then I realized the clipper card that was loaded into the app prior to the update of the app was gone. I tried to add the number but am getting an error. Now I can't pay for parking and there's a possibility I might get a parking ticket for not paying. Worst app. No wonder the app rating is so low.

I really hate how bart transitioned parking to this app. Now it's required to download ANOTHER app just to pay for parking. Then you need another app to pay for bart. It's so easy to forget to pay for parking now. With EZ-rider I could do everything with one clipper card(app). And after getting a citation, they make you pay through a shady looking website that looks like a fifth grader designed it. On top of that, they charge you a "convenience" fee.
