departure/arrival times are often inaccurate. if the train is on time it's fine, but it's very hit and miss if trains are delayed. For example, a train might be scheduled to arrive at 2:00, but the app says it's delayed 10 minutes, and will arrive at the station at 2:10. But in reality the train has picked up speed and arrives at 2:08. It might not seem like a big deal but if you're walking to the station it can make you miss a train. pretty annoying sometimes.

Thank you for taking the time to share this observation. For follow up, are these estimated times from a Trip Planner result (showing a timestamp) or real time departure count down clock represented by the number of minutes?

I have no idea why Location access should be REQUIRED in order to use the BART app to look at train schedules or BART news (like transit delays). Screw that, change it back. update 3/26/26: the 3/11 update has PARTIALLY fixed the problem. i still get the location services pop-up every time I open the app. however, hitting "no thanks" closes the pop-up and the app is then usable. but this still happens EVERY TIME.

I really hate how bart transitioned parking to this app. Now it's required to download ANOTHER app just to pay for parking. Then you need another app to pay for bart. It's so easy to forget to pay for parking now. With EZ-rider I could do everything with one clipper card(app). And after getting a citation, they make you pay through a shady looking website that looks like a fifth grader designed it. On top of that, they charge you a "convenience" fee.
