Subloom adds auto captions and subtitles to your videos right on your phone. Speech recognition runs on the device, so nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and it works in airplane mode. Edit every word, pick a caption style, then export a captioned video or an SRT / VTT subtitle file.
🌍 SPOKEN LANGUAGES
• English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Indonesian with the standard model
• German, French, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and Korean with the optional High-accuracy model (a free download from Google Play), offered when your phone is fast enough to run it
• You always choose the language. Subloom suggests the one it hears, and only lists languages it transcribes well
✂️ AN EDITOR THAT DOESN'T FIGHT YOU
• Tap a caption to fix the text, split it at the cursor or merge it with the next one
• Nudge start and end times, or set them at the playhead
• Captions early or late? One sync slider shifts every caption at once
• Undo and redo for every change, and your project is saved as you go
🎨 CAPTION STYLES
• 6 presets: Classic, Pop, Boxed, Karaoke, Yellow, Minimal
• Size, position, font, outline or box, a few words or two lines, UPPERCASE
• Highlight each word as it is spoken — great for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• The preview uses the same renderer as the export, so what you see is what you get
🎬 EXPORT THAT FINISHES
• Burn captions into an MP4 with a progress bar, with your original audio
• If the video export fails, Subloom retries at a lower resolution and offers the SRT / VTT file instead — your edit is never lost
• SRT and WebVTT files for YouTube, editors and players
• Videos are saved to Movies/Subloom and subtitle files to Download/Subloom; share right from the done screen
• Share a video to Subloom from your gallery or any app to start captioning it
