About this app

Katana Librarian allows you to connect your phone or tablet to your BOSS Katana amplifier via USB or a Bluetooth adapter (sold separately), unlocking your amp’s full potential!

The free version of the app allows you to test your connection and load the built-in demo patches. A single in-app purchase is offered if you wish to unlock the full feature set, which will allow you to:

- Download patches from your amplifier.
- Modify the patch parameters; includes support for all effect types; the editor also changes in real-time as you adjust the parameters on your amp.
- Organize your patches into groups. Tag your favorite patches, or create a set list for a live performance.
- Import and export MkI, MkII and Gen3 .TSL files.
- Rename and delete patches.
- Write patches to the amplifier's channels.
- Emulate the functionality of a GA-FC pedal (even on a KATANA-50).
- Use the hotkey feature in combination with a Bluetooth MIDI or HID foot switch (e.g. https://amzn.to/3RqNcDY) for hands-free patch and effect switching.
- Access undocumented Katana features like hidden amps and multiple simultaneous effects (where available).

I like the app, and it works perfectly well, but I don't like having to pay more money to access features, especially when it comes standard on other amps such as the Bluetooth dongle and the library. All these things should be standard equipment on 100w, which I have . I will give the app 5 stars because I am very happy to finally play my amp to its full potential

Love, love, love this app. Spent $15 total ($10 to unlock to full app -worth it, $5 for the cable to connect to my phone on amazon) and do not regret a penny. The ease of uploading and downloading .tsl files is super simple. The effects and amp types..sneaky or otherwise, are great. It is very intuitive and the control layout is great. I prefer to find a patch I like and tweak away until it fits my tastes. I'll work up to doing my own, but for now this works. Highly recommended for anyone.

Awesome! This App really works well. There is only one thing I have found so far that I would put in my wish list.... And it might even be something available that I haven't figured out yet. It would be awesome to have a switch for the expression to trigger between volume and wah. But as far as having control over everything else.... simply Awesome. Great Job!
