So the app was working well, until Arlo decided to force my old cameras into a subscription service. Here's to hoping the company will fix the error. As to the capabilities, it worked really well up to this point. You will need constant power if you want to access advanced features, such as object detection zones. It would be nice if you could mask out nearby areas that will saturate your image, such as the edge of an adjacent wall or eave. You will have to locally record without a subscription

I've had this camera (outside) and the app for about 2 years. No complaints. The camera is great, and the app does all that I need it to. It connects quickly and provides a clear picture. The alerts are fast. I can usually get my phone out, open the notification, connect to the camera, and catch the delivery guy before he's half way back to his truck. Completely recommend Arlo.

At the beginning and during the trial period it worked really well. Not very responsive. A one minute delay or sometimes even a two minute delay before notification alert. Now after 2 months the system is intermittent. Sometimes works and sometimes some cameras work and some don't even though fully charged and hooked up to it's own solar panel. This is the second time I buy the Arlo Cameras, but also the last. Not very happy with them. Most likely going to go to ADT even if it cost more.

Try to move your cameras closer to the Base Station/SmartHub/router or move your Base Station/SmartHub away from the router. A slight delay is normal behavior because the video is being analyzed by the Arlo Cloud service. For further help, navigate to Settings > Support in the Arlo App for service options available to you.
