*At present, the instant upload backup of mobile phone photos will generate folders under Home/MyPhoto/SmartUpload on the NAS. Each folder has a maximum of 999, so if you have many photos to upload at the same time; for example, 4000 photos on the mobile phone, it will cut into five folders.

*For NAS model AS10 series user, if you have more than15000 photos in your phone and want to auto-backup at one time, we suggest go to NAS Off-peak Hours to disable background process and enable background process once upload finish.
*It may take a while for photo indexing and thumbnail making especially for some entry models may take a day to show up if you upload a lot of photos at the same time.

Ratings and reviews

This app is the absolute worst. Backup barely works, constant crashes, video uploads quit and have to constantly restart. Sometimes they get to the end, aren't uploaded, and restart. There's no way to bypass tasks. I chose the Asustor NAS because of it having mobile apps for backing up my photos and videos. I am really regretting that decision. DO BETTER DO BETTER DO BETTER!

Asustor's apps are incredibly buggy. Wish I had played around with it more before my return period was over. The first AiFoto would crash when trying to connect and auto backup/upload tasks would be stuck at partial upload. AiFoto 3 just keeps crashing when you look at the tasks tab and it's just stuck on the same number of uploads remaining. It's set to run in the background and it's been given permission to run in the background but it doesn't auto backup. Unfortunately, I have no other options to backup my phone photos automatically. I guess I'll just stick to periodic backups.

the app is missing one important basic function - downloading and syncing of complete folders from NAS or in other words - caching of photos to phone. I keep my whole photo collection on NAS. I do expect to be able to mark folders with photos on NAS to cache it (download it and keep synched) to phone when home on WiFi, to not use 5G later. The option to download files is usless since not downloaded with folder structure and not synched to NAS of I ad photo on NAS to that folder
