Ratings and reviews

Opened it today to discover video ads that pop up nearly every time I open a post. The old banner ad at the bottom of the page was at least tolerable. These are not. They play an unskippable video, in full screen. Some of them offer to skip after you get 90% through the video, just to force you through more screens after. You can't back out of the page early without closing the app completely. Reopen it and get hit with the ads almost instantly. Absolutely worthless, uninstalled today.

I've never done reviews before until this app started pushing ads harder. I used to deal with it being at the bottom of the screen, but now that it takes over the screen and you have to wait for the ad to let you skip it before continuing browsing. Reddit involves far too many posts for me to sit and wait for a full screen ad to be over. I'd rather not browse at all. Uninstalled.

I'd avoid this app for now. It has some issues like not loading gifs and descriptions missing from image posts. Those are easy enough to overlook. However, they added banner ads at the bottom of the screen when reading comments and browsing subreddits. These are very obnoxious and in the way. Not worth using until they find a better solution for ads. Editing to add you can purchase an ad free upgrade for 3.50. Worth it if you have the money to spare.
