Works great if you're wanting a no-ai search engine. I've only used the mobile version of this, but it's worked as expected. No frills, allows me to wade through the results without seeing the paid or recommended results first. Feels like back in the early google days. and they don't sell your data!

I remember using a one-time free trial of the Start Page E-Mail system sometime during 2001-2019. I don't remember exactly when, but I could not get a subscription for the Start Page E-Mail system. When I first saw that Start Page also has a browser and I noticed it works like the Google Chrome browser, I started using the Start Page browser. I like its Indigo theme color against a solid black black background. Start Page has or does not have synchronized bookmarks across phones and tablets.

Initially I liked it, although the results left something to be desired. I do like that it asks for our feedback. What annoyed me and made me switch elsewhere is that I started to get constant requests to do captcha. I don't know what changed on their end because I've used my VPN the entire time and it didn't start with the captchas. They're also letter ones as opposed to a simple click like the browser I switched to. I'm not giving up my VPN, so I stopped using this on mobile and my laptop.
