Live streaming works really well. On demand service leaves a lot to be desired. There's a lot of shows that have episode 1 skip eposide 2 have eposide 3 and so on. I'd also like to be able to reorganize the order of the channels. This service has a lot of promise. Edit: Guide data is always wrong.
1. The Guide flips too easily can barley scroll through without it changing time slots. 2. Guide could use some color code for movies an sports etc. GUIDE IS OFTEN INCORRECT. 3. Needs a reminder feature since no DVR
Ok. So today when I open my guide, I only see the HBO channels and animal planet. I don't watch those channels. I've tried uninstalling this app and reinstalling it to see if it would start working (seems to be a weekly occurrence). Nope. Still just 3 channels show up in the guide, rendering the app, the money I pay for the app USELESS as I don't watch the three channels that appear on your guide. When is this app going to work correctly? Sling TV is beginning to look interesting..... ...
This app is WAY better than it was a few months ago and live TV is actually casting OK on my Chromecast now -- except when it decides to buffer constantly, which still happens far too often and is a major problem. I'm reserving the final rating stars for stability and feature improvements like a better guide, etc (maybe an icon that toggles a lock on the time on the guide since it's ridiculously easy to accidentally scroll sideways when you're trying to scroll vertically). The app still routinely crashes when I'm casting and minimize it to use other apps, and that needs to be fixed.
I have been a subscriber for this service since public release. It has been up and down. Was broken for a month and just needed to change my working password. Currently seems to be working better. Probably next month will be broken again.
Service is much more stable now than it was when it launched. Casting to my Sony Bravia is great, but still waiting on the official Android TV app. Navigating the guide is cumbersome as it's overly sensitive to moving the guide horizontally across the program times as you're scrolling up and down the guide. The only way around it is to swipe vertically over the channel banners so that the guide time stays in position.
- Performance improvements, increased stability and bug fixes.
