Ratings and reviews

Surprise! Updates make it worse. Does not coordinate with the television. The communication between the phone app and the TV is even worse than before. Recordings on one don't show on the other and vice a versa. Even more difficult to navigate now. Not user-friendly at all. Honestly there are times when you don't think an app can get worse...well, DirecTV you've done it.

the only thing worse than the TV app is the phone app. programming constantly stops "looks like we're having trouble playing your content." this wouldn't even be a big issue if you could just refresh or change the channel then go back to your show but that doesn't work, you have to close and reopen the app to get programming back. customer service says we're so sorry, issue is on our end and we're working on it but nothing ever gets better. worst, least functional streaming app ever.

Not really great if you like football. More often then not directv does not have 4:30 games. Too expensive for what you get. More expensive than cable for similar package. I got it mostly because they have SNY which is not available with my cable company. There are always sound issues with the app on TV and phone. Occasional freezing. For the price they should at least offer what they have on demand with no ads. Will cancel after the superbowl.
