I downloaded this app to my Samsung Galaxy On5 a few days ago. So far, I haven't had any major problems. It really is user-friendly. Everything is easy to find. When I try to go into the settings, it takes almost 60 seconds to load and open, but it's nothing major. The only real issue I have with the app is that I'm not able to move it to my SD card. The On5 is very well known to have a small internal storage, so I try to only keep the apps I can move over to external memory. But if that were an option, I would give this app 5 stars.
It buffers all the time on my smart tv, and kicks me out all the time. I Love Hulu and don't want to get rid of it but my boyfriend and I are thinking about getting rid of live stream. Starting to act up on my galaxy now too. Not a happy camper. I'm ok with the adds just not all the buffering and the fact that some shows I can't watch what season I want. That's why I pay for Hulu to watch and research my shows. Please fix.
When I log in to hulu I want to see what I've been watching and possibly what's new. Instead I get the shows you've sold out to that you think I want to watch. The older version was more clear as to what shows were new if they're airing currently. If you're designing an app for the customer, make it more customized for the consumer. The new app layout really speaks to how much Hulu has listened more to the corporations and not the customer.
While it's less annoying after updating, the UI still has some issues. When I'm browsing I don't want full page movie posters. I want to be able to see more than one item. The white text and some of the light backgrounds make text and controls hard to read. And one of the biggest annoyances is that the rewind and forward control has the time directly under your finger so you can't read it.
Subscription for live TV is well worth it for cord-cutters. All the channels and sports I need. With a decent wifi router I have no issues and everything is HD with my Chromecast being 15 feet away from the router. I see nothing but bad reviews for Sling and DirecTV Now. So this is regarding the app, not the service. You're getting a lot of 1 star reviews due to the app layout...which is a shame because you're losing out on customers because of it. Go to a simpler guide format and get rid of the movie posters!!!
New app design is mired is usability problems. Looks slick, but makes it hard to find shows, as you can only see one show at a time, so you end up swiping and tapping endlessly if you want to watch something other than the next episode of Hulu's promoted shows!
· When you ask, we listen. Now when you go to the Episodes tab of a show, you'll find the episode you left off at the top of the list.
· We added voice support for Search. Just say “search Hulu” and the title you want to look for.
· Our player control overlay now hides in two seconds. And when you resume playback, it will hide immediately.
· We changed the switch profile icon. We think that two arrows pointing in opposite directions better convey the idea of "switching".
