"Next" Button Please Love the Hulu app and service. I pay for ad-free service, no biggie. Works fine on Chromecast. My only issue is that it doesn't have a button to play the next episode on mobile. I know that it has autoplay, but I'm the type of guy that likes to skip the credits and get on to the next episode when I'm binge watching or re-binge watching. Add that and I'll gratefully give the app 5 stars.
Better than Cable The streaming is good and the price is cheap. Let's me watch what I want, when I want and for less money than upgrading my cable plan. Even though there are commercials, there are maybe 3 between each break in the show. So what?! It's worth the extra hundred my cable company was trying to scam us for. All that money for 99 channels I don't watch? I think new subscribers will be happy with the app.
At the palm of my hands.. Love all access apps. I enjoy my Hulu subscription to the fullest. Only problem may be streaming capability. Not sure if this is an app issue. Otherwise the full menu and ease of access earns 4.5 stars with me. And by the way...I PAY FOR THE AD FREE SERVICE! Which means I don't have to watch them. Ppl need to understand there is that option. Netflix is great for movies, but Hulu has all the shows I'd ever want to watch without buying cable TV service. Thank You for this app.
Nothing in the description says it is a subscription based app. You do not know until you install that you are forced to pay a subscription fee to use the app. The site is free to use, so why not the app? How many mobile users (ad viewers) are you losing to this forced subscription? I only use mobile device for shows now, so there is one, I cannot be the only one. You, Hulu, should have a record of how many people install and uninstall without ever subscribing to even the free trial. Hulu used to be my go to for 20+ shows I watched regularly and hundreds if not thousands of movies a year.
Excellent app... When it doesn't freeze I have thoroughly enjoyed this app during the time I have had it. However, I have been experiencing some 'stops', where the show you are watching stops completely and the show restarts from the beginning of the episode. Also, it occasionally refuses to load. I have double checked to make sure the app is updated and that my connection is appropriate. Fixed will turn this 3 to 5.
The app crashes at least 4 times ever 2 hours. I have a brand new s7 and am often on home or work wifi so hardware and internet connection speed should not be an issue. If netflicks had the shows hulu does i would not pay for a hulu subscription. Hulu charges more requires you to watch the intro and credits after every single episode/show and often comes with commercials even when a premium subscription is paid for. I expect at least a user interface as good as netflicksand stability.
