The app is amazing! It works great when you're on long drives. It even pauses when the phone/ app notifications go off, which is very handy when using GPS. The skip back and skip forward buttons are handy too. I only wish it also had the graphic audio/ radio plays available. Where they have sound effects and multiple voice actors.
Love being able to "read" and listen to books: prayers, history, fiction, etc while driving to and from work, long trips, or just relaxing. Audible gives me that wonderful ability. I have learned so much! It is hard for me to find the time to sit and read a written book, although sometimes I wind up buying the written version too just for reference, or gifts .
This is my favorite thing in the world. I love books but work with my hands all day, so it's just too perfect! There are so many kinds of books(great for me cuz I have very diverse tastes) and the readers really bring them to life. It is more than worth it and now that I have it, I can't live without it!
My most useful app. I listen to books while driving. Makes London driving a pleasure!! Have been known to make a detour if I'm at a really good bit and need extra time on the road!!! Only niggle. And not with the app but rather in the reading. I know unabridged means staying true to the written word, but occasionally it would be useful to let listeners know if the book moves to another element of the story. Easy to spot when reading (a gap with an asterisk, for example) but can be momentarily confusing when just listening!!!
I love Audible, and highly recommend it, but I do have my complaints about the app. The library screen isn't set up very well, in my opinion, it's to hard to tell witch book is witch when looking through it, particularly in a series of books. I'll get a full series then get confused witch book is book one and which is all the rest. I've had multiple times where I started listening to one book then later I find out it wasn't the first one. Simply put I think they need to change the look of the app so I can read the full title and see the full cover when I'm looking through my library. But again Audible itself is great and I highly recommend the use of it.
I love this app but since yesterday I have a problem: my book stops at almost one minute. I do not have changed anything in my phone or app, I have double checked all the settings... the app is set to stop when the book finishes, so I think that the problem could come from my phone, but as I have said, I haven't found anything set to stop the apps at a certain time. Can anyone give me some ideas? Have you had this problem?
